Description
A record of movement in a changing climate.
Climate Migration #1 is rendered through carbon, the element at the center of our shared climate story. The restrained monochrome surface asks the viewer to consider movement, vulnerability, and the landscapes we carry with us.
As rising seas, drought and extreme weather reshape where people can live, migration has become one of the defining human stories of a warming planet. This piece holds that story quietly: no figures, no borders, only tone and texture. It carries the weight of leaving, and the uncertainty of arriving.
The work is part of The Carbon Art’s climate series by Abhijeet Shrivastava (Abhi), a White House-recognized climate artist whose practice turns carbon itself into the medium. Each artwork physically stores carbon and supports documented climate action.
Every acquisition includes a Certificate of Climate Impact, connecting the artwork to documented support for regenerative farmland. Buyers may add verified carbon offsets in one-ton increments; each additional ton is $100 and is documented on the certificate.
